Future Freshman Excitement!

At South Ridge, we believe preparation is key to academic success. Because of this, each year  we host Future Freshman Days designed especially for incoming 8th grade students to help prepare them for the transition into high school.

Twice a year, we open our campus for 8th grade students to come to South Ridge and be paired with a Maverick Ambassador, a current South Ridge student, and experience what it will be like to as a high school student. During the day, we will have exciting lunch break activities, special performances by school dance groups and much more. While on campus, 8th grade students will have the opportunity to learn about all of the engaging clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities that they can be a part of when they attend South Ridge. Transportation and a BBQ lunch are provided for all 8th grade students who attend.

We have made signing up for Future Freshman Day very easy as well. Interested 8th grade students just need to pick up a permission slip from either our front office or their 8th grade counselor. All permission slips must signed by a parent and returned to the South Ridge front office by the designated deadline. We hope to see you all here as prospective High School Freshmen!
