Professional Development
Leona Group encourages team members to pursue professional growth and advancement. High-quality professional development and use of educational best practices are key to school success. Professional development time is built into many school calendars, assuring that staff are able to take the time necessary to make development a priority. Most development options are provided at no cost to the team member.
Professional development is provided at four levels. All teachers are provided development through strands that run throughout the year. Curriculum coaches, special education coordinators, office managers and English Language Acquisition Services facilitators and coordinators receive additional professional development through departmental strands. Each school also provides professional development to its teachers based on school level initiatives and need. In addition, professional development is supported at an individual level to include state and national level professional development, as individual need dictates.
