Leona expands bussing to Toledo-area schools
The Leona Group, a national educational management company of free public community schools, continues to make access to quality education a priority. We are pleased to announce the expansion of our transportation program to Toledo-area schools.
The seven Leona Group community schools throughout Toledo are pooling resources to support city-wide yellow-bus service. All students in elementary, middle and high school and who attend a Leona Group school are eligible for transportation services. When school begins in August, the Toledo-area transportation program will - at least - triple in size.
To facilitate this expansion, The Leona Group has hired a transportation coordinator who will evaluate the best way to transport students with safety at the forefront of the efforts. The goal is to help parents who are working or have limited access to reliable transportation and to ensure their children attend school regularly and safely.
The Leona-managed schools in Toledo are:
• Achieve Career Preparatory Academy, grades 9-12
• Eagle Academy, grades K-8
• The learning community of Lake Erie, George A. Phillips and Toledo Preparatory academies, serving grades K-12 on three campuses.
• Wildwood Academy, with campuses in Toledo (grades 6-12) and Maumee (grades K-5)
• And now announcing the new Northpointe Academy (grades K-8)
