Attention Parents! Arizona state law requires sixty-one and a half hours of "seat time" to receive one-half credit. If your son or daughter accumulates more than 4 absences (excused or unexcused) regardless of whether he/she makes up missed work during the block, he or she will receive a failing grade in that class. Alta Vista High School offers healthy meals every school day. Research has shown that starting the day with a nutritious breakfast helps students stay alert and perform better in school. Breakfast costs $1.50 and lunch costs $2.50. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Reduced price for breakfast is $.30 and for lunch - $.40 for lunch. Please contact school if you have any questions. If your child is picking up a bus pass from Alta Vista, please remember to pay $5.00 at the beginning of each month.
