West Phoenix students move on to state competion

Way to go West Phoenix High School: three of five students who competed in the National History Day Competition at Yavapai College will move on to the Arizona State Competition on April 30 in Fountain Hills!

- Jose Garcia won the Senior Individual Exhibit and was nominated by the judges for Best Use of Oral History on his research; Nazi War Criminals: 65 Years Later: Revenge or Justice.

- Eduardo Segura and Lucero Molina placed in the Senior Group Exhibit category with their research on Non-Aggression: Stalin and Hitler: Origins of Evil  When Diplomacy Fails, War Prevails

Jessica Ridings (The Scopes Trial) and Ulises Marquez (The Declaration of Independence) made excellent efforts as well, but did not move on to state competition.
