Operations
Schools operated and managed by The Leona Group uphold pertinent local, state and federal regulations regarding educational programs and school facilities. In addition, our academies are accountable to their school boards and charter sponsor for meeting the goals and requirements set by the school's charter contract.

Budget oversight and financial reporting:
The Academy Board is encouraged to provide input into the budget development process, collaborating with the school leader in fiscally supporting short- and long-term goals and objectives. The board retains final authority and approves the budget. The Leona Group then manages all school financial systems including accounting, budgeting, purchasing, long-range planning and state and federal reporting. In addition to regular reports to the Academy Board, such as proposed and revised budgets, monthly status reports and coordination with an independent auditor, The Leona Group provides recommendations and advises board members on best-practice financial operations, following pertinent accounting procedures.

Compliance reporting:
The Leona Group provides the academy support in successfully operating according to authorizer, state and federal regulations. The Leona Group assists the academy in accurate and timely compliance submissions, including producing and timely filing of compliance reports to AOIS and associated paperwork.

Grants:
The Leona Group provides with full-service grants support, including grant research, writing, submission, implementation, tracking, evaluation and report filing. Funded grants will include Title I, Title II-A, Title II-D, Title III, Title IV, Title V and other federal and state grant, as applicable. Fees for grant research, writing and submission are included under the typical management agreement; the cost of grant implementation, tracking, evaluation and report filing are funded by the grant itself.
